This is official description
Network Drive Manager (NDM) is a utility for managing network drives, which brings added value to home users, small business users and large enterprise users that access network drives in a (wireless) network. During Windows logon NDM ensures that all network drives under its control get connected and activated, where after they are periodically reconnected to prevent deactivation. In case network resources are not (yet) available or if the connection with a network resource is temporarily lost (e.g. when resuming a notebook from standby or if a wireless network connection was interrupted), NDM actively attempts to reconnect the network drives. Optionally it can run programs, open documents or mount TrueCrypt volumes after a network drive has been successfully connected.
The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 2.5
Network Drive Manager is a wonderful application that allows you to manage network drives easily. This version features several improvements and bug fixes including a multi-language interface (English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish), alpha blended icons for Windows XP and Vista and new icons for all platforms among others. The user interface is really simple and fully customizable to satisfy your needs, but you should have some knowledge about networks to start working with the program. This application ensures that all network drives that are under control of NDM get connected and work properly.
It also keeps the network drives alive in order to prevent deactivation. In addition to this, it also offers a built-in reconnect mechanism to be used in case network drives are not available. This version also features improved TrueCrypt integration, since you can automatically mount TrueCrypt volumes when a network drive has been successfully connected.
It supports Windows NT/2000/XP/2003Server and Vista. |
